Terms & Conditions
Last updated 4 November 2026. By requesting a trip with TourMe Trails, you agree to these terms.
1. What TourMe Trails does
TourMe Trails connects customers with local guides for hiking, waterfall, camping and nature trips in Malaysia. We handle bookings and payments. Your guide leads the trip.
2. How booking works
- Request: you choose a trip and date and send a request. Your place is held but not confirmed.
- Guide reply: your guide has up to 12 hours to accept. If they can't, we'll try to find another guide or cancel your request. You pay nothing before this.
- Payment: once your guide accepts, you have 24 hours to pay and upload your receipt. If we don't receive it in time, your request is cancelled and the place is released. For trips coming up soon, these times can be shorter. Your booking page and email show the exact deadline.
- Confirmed: your trip is confirmed once we have verified your payment.
3. Guest details and waiver
Guest details and the signed waiver must be completed at least 24 hours before the trip, or earlier if the trip needs a permit. We may be unable to take a guest on a trip without them.
4. Cancellations and refunds

To cancel or change a date, message us on WhatsApp or email us. Refunds are made to your bank account and can take 1 to 3 working days to arrive. Permit fees already paid to an authority may not be refundable.
5. Weather and safety
Your guide or TourMe Trails may change, shorten or cancel a trip for safety, including bad weather, closed trails or unsafe conditions. If we cancel before the trip starts, you can choose a new date or a full refund. Your guide may refuse or remove a guest who is unsafe, for example because of their behaviour or fitness, without a refund.
6. Your responsibilities
- Choose a trip that suits your fitness and experience, and tell us about relevant medical conditions.
- Arrive on time. If you miss the meeting or pickup time, the trip may leave without you and no refund is due.
- Follow your guide's instructions, park rules and the law, and respect nature and local communities.
- Do not book or pay a guide privately for a trip arranged through TourMe Trails.
7. Booking for a group
The person who makes the booking confirms that they are authorised to act for their group, and that every guest knows these terms. These terms apply equally to every guest. Children must be accompanied by, or have written permission from, a parent or legal guardian.
8. Liability waiver
Before your trip, the lead booker signs this waiver online:
- I understand that hiking and outdoor activities carry risks, including physical injury, illness, death and loss of personal property.
- I confirm that I am physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent safe participation in this trip.
- I will follow all instructions given by the guide and behave responsibly at all times during the trip.
- I release TourMe Trails, its guides, employees and agents from liability for injury, loss or damage arising from my participation, to the extent permitted by law.
- I understand that weather, terrain and wildlife are unpredictable. A trip may be changed or cancelled for safety reasons.
- I consent to receiving emergency medical treatment if required, and agree to bear the associated costs.
- All information I have provided is accurate, and I agree to these terms voluntarily.
- If I am booking for others: I confirm that each adult guest has authorised me to give their details and accept these terms for them, and has been told about these terms. I am the parent or legal guardian of, or have written permission from the parent or guardian of, any child in this booking. The same rules apply to every guest in this booking.
9. Limits of liability
Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded under Malaysian law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, TourMe Trails is not liable for events outside our reasonable control. We recommend travel insurance that covers outdoor activities.
10. Reviews and photos
If you submit a review or photos, you allow us to show them on our website and marketing. We may decline reviews that are abusive or untrue.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
